(Las Vegas, NV) — Today, Manny Kess, a longtime entrepreneur, investor and Southern Nevada community leader, announced his candidacy for Clark County Commission, District E.

Kess grew up overcoming personal and financial hardship. He rebuilt his life after the Great Recession and came to Nevada fourteen years ago. He started a small business that grew into The Kess Group, a Las Vegas enterprise that now supports working families with restaurants, real estate, travel services, and responsibly farmed food.

“I am running to protect my daughter’s future and the future of every family in our community,” Kess said. “District E deserves leadership that is honest, fiscally responsible, and ready to take on the real challenges people face every day. Homelessness, affordability, and public safety are not talking points. They are issues families like mine deal with all the time. They deserve real solutions.”

Kess enters the race at a moment when residents are demanding higher standards from county government. In September 2025, the Nevada Commission on Ethics (NCOE) formally admonished several county commissioners, including Tick Segerblom, for accepting complimentary tickets to the 2023 inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix without proper disclosure when related matters came before the commission.

If elected, Kess says his priorities will include strengthening public safety, creating responsible and humane solutions to homelessness, protecting taxpayers and working families from runaway costs, and demanding transparency and fiscal discipline in county operations.

Nevada gave me a second chance,” Kess said. “I built my life here. My wife and I are raising our daughter here. Now I am stepping forward to fight for the future of this community and make sure District E has leadership that works as hard as the people who live here.”
